Easter Sunday is the Holiest day of the year.
More holy than Christmas.
More holy than any imaginable event. It is the day when the doors to eternal life blew open.
It is the day that Jesus took to the grave the sins of those who believe in Him.
It’s the day that heaven became our ultimate and permanent home.
It’s a day to give tremendous thanks to our God. This was all a gift. We did nothing to warrant it, nothing to earn it, nothing to deserve it. It is a gift.
With a gift like this, how do you say thank you?
How do you express your tremendous appreciation?
Jesus gave us the key to this during his Last Supper.
“Little children, I am with you only a little while longer. You will look for Me, and as I said to the Jews, so now I say to you: Where I am going, you cannot come. A new command I give to you: Love one another. As, I have loved you, so you must also love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13": 33-35 The Berea Study Bible).
Jesus is no longer on the earth in a physical body. In His place, He sent the Holy Spirit so that God can live within us as we take on this commandment. We have become His hands and feet. We are the ones to take His Good News into the world.
With the arrival of Easter, Lent ends. The time of lament and reflection is behind us. It is time to move forward with the power of Easter in us.
How are you using the Power He has given us?
What are you doing to be His hands and feet?
Are you showing God’s love in this world?
Are you bringing others to Him?
How are you demonstrating His love through service and humility?
Let’s do this together!
Let’s take His truth—the only truth—into this hurting world!
He is Risen! Hallelujah!
